Palace Market Roofing Project โ West Marin, Point Reyes Station, California
Wedge Roofing completed a commercial spray foam roofing project for Palace Market in Point Reyes Station. Serving West Marin since 1898, Palace Market is a long-standing independent grocer with deep roots in the agricultural and coastal life of the Point Reyes community. Originally opened as the Point Reyes Emporium, the market grew from a country mercantile into a full-service local market that continues to serve Point Reyes Station and the surrounding West Marin coastal communities.
For this commercial roofing project, Wedge Roofing installed a spray foam roof system designed to comply with the 2022 California Energy Code, providing R-10 continuous insulation. The work included removing existing corrugated roof panels from two roof sections. New plywood and sheetrock substrates were installed to prepare the roof assembly. New bonderized perimeter edge metal was fabricated and installed to complete the roof edges.
As an added customer care measure, Wedge Roofing covered vehicles near the project area before the spray foam work began. This extra precaution helped protect nearby cars from potential overspray and reflects the care Wedge Roofing takes when working in active commercial and community settings.
The roof was finished with a premium white high-solids silicone coating that meets CA Title 24 requirements for reflectivity and energy performance. The coating also provides long-term protection against seasonal rain and coastal moisture. Roofing granules were added to improve surface durability and provide safer traction during wet West Marin conditions.
The completed system provides the ย Palace Market with a seamless insulated commercial roof assembly built for daily business operations and long-term performance in Point Reyes Station.
