Aside from spending four years as the Director of Manufacturing for a Boeing subsidiary in Seattle, where he pursued his secondary passion for aviation, Gary has been an essential part of the roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope sector since 1980.
Gary’s professional journey started at a prestigious roofing facility in Palm Springs, known for its ultra-high-end custom estate homes. There, he developed a deep appreciation for quality, craftsmanship, and pride in workmanship. Seeking to diversify his experience, he transitioned to commercial roofing at Bryant Universal Roofing Company, where he was introduced to cutting-edge roofing solutions, state-of-the-art equipment, and a wide range of projects.
In 1996, Gary and his wife Shena—whom he met during his time at Boeing—moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to raise their family. That same year, he joined Wedge Roofing. Now, as President and CEO of Wedge Roofing, Gary oversees a team of approximately 60 employees and has a balanced focus on residential and commercial roofing projects in Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and San Francisco counties.
Gary is deeply committed to contributing to and improving the roofing industry through lectures, teaching, and mentoring, particularly in green building, spray foam roofing/insulation, and building envelope practices. For his expertise in spray foam roofing and insulation, Gary was recently elected to serve as an executive board member of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance.
