Spray Foam Roofing (SPF)

Wedge Roofing, Inc.'s coating and sprayed polyurethane foam systems can be applied to just about any roof surface after proper preparation. Roof types include Tar & Gravel, BUR smooth or cap sheet, EPDM or most other single ply systems, Modified Bitumen, Metal roofs, etc.. Wedge Roofing, Inc.'s coating and sprayed polyurethane foam systems can be applied to just about any roof configuration and shape imaginable; such as geodesic domes, multiple levels, barrel roofs, pitched roofs, steep pitched roofs, flat roofs or any other complicated roof shapes.

10 GOOD REASONS TO CHOOSE SPF

SEAMLESS
Sprayed polyurethane foam forms a seamless insulated roofing system. There are no joints to potentially allow outside water and air to enter the roofing system and pass into the building structure. Whether your roof is a 2,000 square foot residence or a 500,000 square foot shopping center, it will be seamless.

ELIMINATES FLASHING LEAKS
Most roof leaks are caused by the flashings, not the roof itself. Sprayed polyurethane foam solves this problem. Sprayed polyurethane foam conforms to any substrate and when installed correctly it is perfect for roof penetrations, roof mounted equipment, parapet walls, vents, pipes, HVAC systems, skylights, etc..

INSULATING VALUE
Sprayed polyurethane foam has an average R-value of 6.0 - 7.0 per 1 inch thickness, thus providing superior insulating value with less material than any other insulation.

REDUCTION OF PONDING WATER
When reroofing, standing or ponding water may be greatly reduced by the application of additional polyurethane foam in the lower areas. The added foam greatly reduces the additional load factor that is caused by the accumulated water.

SUSTAINABLE ROOF SYSTEM
The elastomeric coating system that protects the polyurethane foam can be re-applied when the initial coating has weathered after many years of leak free service. This eliminates the need to ever "reroof".

LIGHTWEIGHT
One inch of polyurethane foam inuslation and the elastomeric coating weigh less than 3/4 of a pound per square foot. Compare this to approximately 5.5 - 6.0 pounds per square feet for a traditional four-ply built -up roofing system. Sprayed polyurethane foam is often applied directly over an existing roof without the need for the messy, expensive and disruptive tear off of the existing system.

FLEXIBILITY
Sprayed polyurethane foam can withstand a structure's normal movement including expansion and contraction without compromising the system's ability to keep the structure protected from the elements.

DURATION OF APPLICATION
A sprayed polyurethane system is applied in a relatively short time with minimal disruption, if any, to the building occupants or its operation.

MAINTENANCE
Simple modifications or repairs to a polyurethane system can be made easily and quickly by most maintenance personnel with simply a caulking gun and a tube of caulking.

FINAL REASON TO CHOOSE SPF

Wedge Roofing, Inc.'s coating and sprayed polyurethane foam systems make the planet a better place for all our families to live, by first reducing the environmental impact to land fills and reducing fossil fuel usage in the production & transportation of materials. Next, energy demands for heating and cooling are greatly reduced. Finally, consider factors such as the reduced health risk from mold, mildew and Volatile Organic Compound emissions (VOC).
